The next game after one successful game from the WTA Charleston is going to be between Mirjana Lucic-Baroni from Croatia and Mona Barthel from Germany. Actually the game probably can finish in two sets but with a possible tie-break.
Yesterday, Lucie Safarova did an excellent performance against Varvara Lepchenko and she really surprised us. To be honest, we expected that Lepchenko will not be in shape for this game. She struggled a lot during the game. Safarova gave her no chances for something. Today, we are expecting Mirjana Lucic-Baroni to be amazing as well. Because she is playing incredibly well on clay and this is one of the tours where she is performing good.
Anyway, today we think that Mirjana Lucic-Baroni will take this game, but it will be extremely hard and difficult. We predict a win for Mirjana but maybe in three sets or if we see two sets it is going to be very hard with one eventual tie-break.
Yesterday, it was a poor, very poor prediction from the ITF game between Ugo Humbert and Lenny Hampel. Fortunately for us after all the struggles in the game, our player meet our expectation and he took the game.
Today there are couple of more games and one of them is pretty good, which we would like to follow. This is the game from the WTA ITF in Dubai with a prize of 100 000$ between Mona Barthel and Evgeniya Rodina. These two players are players who have lots of games on the WTA stage, but it looks like that they abandon their pre-season preparation and started playing in this tournament which is pretty nice and it can be WTA from the bigger category very soon. Mona Barthel was a very huge name in the tennis but suddenly she started performing pretty bad and this results to her ranking.
Evgeniya Rodina presented very good in the past weeks of the season and now she is in the top 100. It is good for her, because she is very good player, she improved a lot and she has all the chances to be competitive to the other top players. We think that here, she will have no problems in taking this game even in straight sets.
Mona Barthel didn’t face classic clay court player so far on this tournament. She had very easy opponents in first two rounds - Martincova and Dabrowski both are out of top 200.
Silvia Espinosa on other side had much solid opponents like Arvidsson, Georges and Panova. The spanish racket is is in good form and this year she had very good results on clay. This is a good chace for her to reach her second WTA final for this year.
