Analysis

This is a game between one typical clay court player - Carlos Berlocq and one player which to be honest we do not like very much - Kevin Anderson. The Barcelona Open is an annual tennis tournament for male professional players. The event has been held in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain every year since 1953, and is played on clay courts at the Real Club de Tenis Barcelona. The tournament is part of the 500 series on the ATP World Tour. Rafael Nadal has won the singles title a record nine times.

The game against Kevin Anderson will extremely hard and difficult. Berlocq showed a great consistency in the past week and now he is among the most progressive players. Anyway, that is enough for Berlocq, now a little bit about Kevin Anderson. He is an South African player (31 years old), he has a great potential but something is not going very well for him. Now he is ranked 66 and to be honest he has the potential to be in the first 50 but with this attitude towards the game he does not deserve it.

We think that this game will go on the account of Carlos Berlocq, because he is the most experienced and he is much better on this kind of court. From the beginning of his career, he won 523 games on clay and lose 269 games. He have more potential than Anderson.

Analysis
After the three losses in a row we are heading today in the Challenger in Montevideo again as this time we will make another prediction about Carlos Berlocq. Yesterday, we thought that he will lose from Inigo Cervantes and he was very close of losing the game, but Cervantes lost the won game. Today against Diego Schwartzman it will be really hard for Berlocq to take this game as Schwartzman is much better and classy player than Cervantes and he will give no chances to the Argentinian player. Moreover, Schwartzman is not a Challenger player anymore as he has titles in the ATP tour as he took one of the most prestigious titles in Istanbul this year on clay against Grigor Dimitrov. We believe that Diego Schwartzman is the most dangerous player on this tournament and he will have no problems to win this game and not only even in straight sets. The odds are not very big but we will go for Schwartzman to take this game and not only with a little handicap on the games.

Analysis
After the 2-3 bad picks we are heading into one serious prediction today. The game is between Carlos Berlocq, the very strong Argentinian player and Inigo Cervantes, one of the best clay court players from Spain. Actually, all players from Spain are great clay court players, but Cervantes proved that on the Challenger tour he cannot be stopped on clay. Last year was his best season, when at the end he won some final tournaments on clay and he even won the final Challenger tour final. This year we are expecting from him to perform nearly the same, if he is capable of course, as his shape is not like the last year but he is showing some great games recently. Last week he reached the semi-finals of the tour in Bogota, where he was stopped by Facundo Bagnis, but to be honest in the second set, Cervantes was very close of winning the game. Now he is second week in a row quarter-finalists in the clay Challenger and against him is one very good but fragile player. If the service of Cervantes is getting in, we believe that he will have no problems in winning against this opponent as both players will mainly rely on the long baseline rallies. As a typical clay courts players, we are expecting long game as this game is 50-50 for us and on these odds we will go for the more experienced player - Inigo Cervantes.

Tip: Elias Ymer
Odd: 1.91

Analysis
This looks like as the best prediction we can make for today's tennis games. There are really lots of games but in our opinion in this game there is a biggest value. The game is between Elias Ymer and Carlos Berlocq and it is from the Challenger in Aix en Provence, France. It is played on clay and so far, we saw amazing and spectacular games. We can say that both players completely deserved their places on this semi-finals as they eliminated pretty strong players. For example, yesterday Elias Ymer eliminated Lukas Rosol while Berlocq eliminated earlier in the week Mischa Zverev. Now both players will meet in a direct game for the final, where they will eventually play with Thiago Monteiro, who is winning at the moment the first set against Renzo Olivo. We do not know why Ymer is so underestimated, moreover, he is a great player on clay and this season he also won a title on clay. His is maybe the best Swedish player right now, and this boost his confidence additionally, as a first racket of Sweden. We think that Ymer has also powers to win the game in straight sets.

Tip: Win Carlos Berlocq

Analysis
The bookmakers are kind of generous with their odds for this game. You would expect a slight lower quotes on Berlocq given his form this year on clay is 15-8, and his opponent Carreno-Busta is 9-13. This will be the first time those two players meet each other in a competitive game. The game today will be probably decided on who will find his best serving. Berlocq has been hitting around 65% 1st serves in most tournaments he participated in. His opponent though has been a bit average with his 50-55% first serving. The Argentinian is the much better returner and should be able to pressure Carreno-Busta's serve. The Spanish racket struggled to beat Lorenzi in the last round needing 3 sets and Berlocq is a much tougher opponent which will cause him problems. Our pick is a win for Carlos Berlocq.

Analysis
The final game on the courts in Oeiras, Portugal will be between Tomas Berdych from the Czech Republic and Carlos Berlocq from Argentina, who won all from his games in Portugal with 2:0 sets - including against Milos Raonic and Daniel Gimeno-Traver. We expect a game with three sets here, like their last meeting on clay surface, two years ago in Dusseldorf, where Berdych won with 2:1 sets. Number 6 in the ATP rankings is the clear favourite here but Berlocq is playing on his best surface and that is the reason why we will pick the option for 3 sets here.

Analysis
Sergiy Stakhovsky from Ukraine will face against Carlos Berlocq from Argentina on the 1/8 finals in Bucharest, Romania. Stakhovsky, who is currently ranked on 92nd position in the ATP rankings will face against Berlocq, who is 61st and he is playing mainly on clay, while Stakhovsky prefers hard courts. This will be their third clash and so far the balance is 2:0 wins for the Ukrainian, who already has one win on clay surface against Carlos Berlocq, last year on the ATP Masters in Madrid, where they played in the qualifications and Stakhovsky won over Berlocq in a really close game - 2:1 sets (6:7, 6:4, 7:6). Their second game was on the ATP tournament in Sydney in the beginning of this season - when they faced in the first round and Stakhovsky won with 2:0 (6:3, 6:4), but it was on hard courts, while the game in the Romanian capital will be on clay again. Stakhovsky won over the 17 years old Romanian - Patrick Ciorcila in the first round - after losing in the first set with 2:6 he managed to grab the second and the third - 6:2, 6:1, and now he will play against difficult opponent - Berlocq who won over number 35 in the ATP rankings - Andreas Seppi, with 2:1 (6:0, 2:6, 7:6). We expect game with "Over 21.5 Games" here.

Tip: Win Andreas Seppi
Odd: 2.02
Tip details
Analysis
Andreas Seppi from Italy already played one game against Carlos Berlocq from Argentina in 2014 - for Davis Cup, where Berloc won with 3:1 sets (4:6, 6:0, 6:2, 6:1), but this time we expect a victory for Andreas Seppi in the first round of the ATP tournament in the Romanian capital city - Bucharest, where they will face for third time. Their first clash was back in 2012, in Eastbourne, where Seppi won with 2:0 sets on grass. Now this will be their first game on clay surface, and we like the value for Andreas Seppi here, who made two good victories in Monte Carlo last week - 2:0 against Mikhail Youzhny, and 2:1 over Pablo Andujar-Alba, but in the 3rd round he faced against World's number 1 - Rafa Nadal, where he lost with 1:6, 3:6. His opponent in Tuesday - Berlocq lost in his first game in Monte Carlo - from Albert Ramos-Vinolas (1:2).

Analysis
Carlos Berlocq from Argentina lost his first game in 2014 from Sergiy Stakhovsky with 0:2, last week on the courts in Sydney. On the other side Edouard Roger-Vasselin retired after his first game in the tournament against Alexandr Dolgopolov and this time we expect a tough game with over 37 games. We think that after the rest they are well prepared for this tournament and both will make a close match.
